LR AWD Waiting Room

Took delivery today. Went well overall. I found several issues with paint but they said it will all get fixed via service. Nothing crazy just manufacturing misses I suppose. Inside seems good except the rubber trim is wrinkled, no fix there.

The delivery person I worked with in Charlotte was very nice and helpful.

Order 6/3
Ready 6/14
Delivery 6/15

Anyone have a sense of delivery times right now? if I ordered today would a LR awd in blue with aeros make it to Los Angeles?
Mine made it in 10 days. Picked it up today, day 11. I was surprised at the original 8 day estimate but figured if they're even close that's still scary fast. I've been reading here a lot because I had the same concern too. Average delivery almost everywhere is 10/ 11 days. So you'd just make it... Theoretically
Good luck.

I'm flabbergasted by the condition of the brand new Blue LR AWD M3! I mean c'mon man I was ready for the stuff I've been reading about and was going to go over this car with a fine toothed comb. Spiral notepad and pencil in pocket, we were lead to our M3. I had a list on my pad for the notes of each pic. The outside had been well detailed. Freaking body panels were all within 1/16". Bumpers to the Q. Panels dead on. Looked for the rubbing door jamb issue some others wrote about, non issue. I did find some lint from a microfiber towel in the bumper body joint that I thought was a paint flaw. The interior went the same, except for the lint. Our sales rep was patient, even smiling when I got under the dash and looked under the seats.
I told him about some of the stories I read here and he said they were aware of most of the issues we bring up. For instance door rub and paint marks. Our cars door gaps are almost exact, all 4 of them.
Thank you to all of you who reported your issues and held Tesla's feet to the fire. It makes a difference. At least it did for us. Best car buying experience in our lives. We drove off in just under an hour, the paperwork took less than 10 minutes. Never could we get off a car lot before in less than 4 hours. Look, test drive, haggle, look some more, haggle some more etc.
Kudos to the crew in Kearney Mesa, San Diego. You people do a great job and I applaud your attention to details
We can't wait to soon become a 2 Tesla family and flip the oil barons da bird!!!

I ordered a LR RWD on 5/27. Heard they were cancelling orders and changed to a LR AWD on 6/10 and just picked it up on Saturday the 15th!

I did not find anything irregular with the paint or body gaps. Looks really good!

It did not have homelink on it but the delivery specialist is going to get that added on for me since I ordered the car before the change.

Interesting... I DID get homelink on mine (ordered 5/31) but did NOT get the 14-50 adapter. I figured I'll take that since it's a $300 option vs. a $35 part.

My OA assured me it would make it in time for the end of the month, so I placed the order. Getting blue on black with 18" wheels. Thanks for the input!
Glad to hear it! Congratulations on getting it in time for the tax insentives and for getting the nicest damn cars for the money on and off the planet! Remember THOMAS 27709 and we'll both get 1000 free super charger points. Enjoy the drive of our lives.

Just placed my order, had a quick sale on my existing car (2014 Chevrolet SS) so I pulled the trigger on a LRAWD MSM with 19s. So I’m pretty much going from the least efficient car on the planet to the most efficient!

Here’s hoping I can take delivery before the calendar flips!

After debating on buying a used model S I pulled the trigger on a new model 3 LR Awd on Saturday in Midnight Silver. My RN # has not changed to a VIN but my OA thinks it will be here before the end of the month. How long does it typically take to receive a VIN? How can you verify the VIN is a 2019 model year?

Getting a VIN varies greatly. I don't think you can tell build date from VIN but instead you have to look at door sticker.

I have been recommending to anyone ordering this late, keep an eye out for existing inventory. If you see anything close enough to what you want, grab it! I did that and drove home with the car 3 days later. You MIGHT get your car by 6/30 if you don't do this but it's going to be cutting it really close. And you'll kiss $1875 goodbye.
