LR AWD Waiting Room

Ordered: 08/23
Model: LR AWD MSM/Black 18' Aero
FSD: No
VIN: No
Delivery ETA: N/A
Location: Los Angeles, CA

I haven't even been waiting that long and it feels like an eternity. Also, I budgeted out my last tank of gas to be Mid-September at the latest. Hopefully, that works out in my favor.

The thing that's stressing me out is that I have financing arranged through my credit union, but it can't be finalized until I have the VIN (and thereby the VPO). If I don't get the VIN soon (i. e. in a couple of weeks), I'll have to have the loan re-approved, which will ding my credit again.
Same here. Both the Credit Union and Auto Insurance folks waiting for VIN. And I need to read about the east coast folks getting their VINs right away.

LR AWD / blue / black interior / aero wheels / FSD / eastern PA

Ordered 8/12, in transit 8/14 and scheduled a pickup for 8/24, but that car arrived earlier than expected. My latest delivery date got updated to 8/21 and I had to un-match from the car as I could not pick up any earlier than the 24th

Re-started the process on 8/22, next car in transit 8/27. I called the delivery specialist to get the VIN and scheduled a pickup 9/7. We'll see.

I'm feeling a bit guilty that it's happening relatively fast when so many others have been waiting so long. It sounds like it's an east coast thing?

Taking delivery tomorrow... (ordered on 7/28, White on Black, 18", LRAWD, FSD). Any suggestions what I should check or ask? Do I have to format a USB drive that says it is already FAT32-formatted for DashCam? I have to charge on my way home; should I expect my Tesla account setup is done at the delivery so I can charge same day?

Only been a week, but feels like forever. I've come across some "new" models across the country and have debated paying for the $2000 shipping fee. I got in touch with Tesla today and they told me I "should" be matched with my car by 9/18...

That's almost exactly what I ordered...what part of the country are you in?
Good luck!

I noticed that too. But some of the mileage on the performance models (not white unfortunately) are already over 1K miles. They must be test cars? Are they allowed to sell them as new with those miles?
I've been told by a couple of different Tesla people that as long as no one ever took ownership of the car, they can sell a demo car with 1K or 2k miles as new - hopefully at a discount.

Yeah I don't know about the other colors. It just seemed interesting that all 6 of the white cars were the exact same configuration - with between 2-9 miles.

It is possible Tesla made some kind of improvement to Model 3 and they just needed time to retool the factory, so they weren't producing for a while and are now in the catch-up mode? If that is so, I wouldn't mind waiting a little longer. Otherwise it is really tough to wait this long with NO communications from Tesla.

I have been traveling back and forth between Reno and Sacramento twice a week. EVERY trip I have seen 1 to 3 transporters loaded with Teslas headed east on I80, so I don't think the factory was in pause.
