Ordered 10/22 got a text this morning saying pickup 11-18
Got a call 30 minutes later telling me the vin number and said the car is in transit and to expect delivery next week
White AWD black interior with aero
Did some math because its Friday and everyone stops working after lunch. I took my configuration and filtered the data on the spreadsheet and averaged the days from configuration until delivery. What I got was configure->19.7 days->vin->3.2 days->delivery so total about 23 days.

Those averages are skewed because the production shifts to foreign orders at the beginning of the quarter. Right now, American orders (especially California) would KILL for a 19.7 day wait. That would mean I'd get my Model 3 on Saturday!

I submitted my order [ LR AWD | White | Aero | Black Int. | Autopilot ] on November 4th, but have had zero contact from Tesla since. My account page says "Estimated Delivery: 5 - 8 weeks" – which is going to feel like an eternity!!!
How long should I go without a response before I start getting nervous and contact them?

You're probably fine. I had to reach out to mine first and he seems irritable. Probably have a ton of people asking delivery questions.

I got a chance to talk to a delivery specialist at the Seattle showroom (at University) .. and he told me that they are not expecting cars in Seattle until the last 2 weeks of december ...
So i think you can start calling around about week 1 of december .. i'm pretty you and i will take delivery in the last 2 weeks of dec

Last I heard from my delivery specialist, I would be able to take delivery of my SR+ in Bellevue sometime in November. Hoping your report doesn't mean things have changed....
Curious if you have received your car? Excited... as I ordered my M3LR Silver aero on 11/6

Scheduled pick up for tomorrow!
Let’s see how it goes. Since I’m flying in I am really hoping for a clean and smooth process. I asked delivery team to walk through and inspect vehicle again before I fly out and they assured me they had eyes on and it all looks good to go.

Congrats! I ordered the identical configuration on 10/20. Boston area. No VIN yet...
Ordered 10/10. My SA has been consistent for the last couple of weeks that deliveries will be in December. One week ago they called with an almost-match to offer. I had ordered 18" wheels and this car had the 19" performance. I said yes, since my current lease is about to expire and I was going to have to rent a car, and based on my research there are pros and cons of both sizes. They couldn't explain why one came up when supposedly there are no local deliveries until December, but whatever. It's a 2020 model, "born on" date is October 21.
I took delivery yesterday. It was a really smooth process, and the car is great.
