LR AWD Waiting Room

My Delivery Specialist just gave me yet another ETA, this time Dec 18-21. We’re leaving for Christmas on the 20th, and after asking him what I can do to ensure I don’t get bumped to the end of the queue again by missing it, he just said ‘let’s just wait and we will cross that road when we get there’. I get that he’s probably powerless, but it’s a pretty flippant answer to someone who ordered a car with an ETA of ‘within 2 weeks’, and is closing in on 2 months.</rant>

Ordered a Blue LR AWD w/o FSD on 11/18 and then changed wheels (to aero wheels) on 11/19. Was told by SA on Black Friday that I should have delivery by middle of December. Hoping it’s true.

Delivery location is Devon, PA.

Just got my VIN in my source code today, 12/04/2019! Let’s see how long it take to update on the website and when delivery will be. Excitement is building up!

Traveling the same day as you. The cut off is the 20th for me as well, not sure what I will end up doing if they can't deliver in 90 days. I went from being a big Tesla fan to where I sometimes doubt if its even a good idea to own a Tesla if this is the experience I get BEFORE they have my money.

I ordered on 11/22. SA asked if I would be around the last two weeks of December and said that is the likely time of delivery. I wonder if they would move deliveries around to accommodate those who are traveling.

If that were the case, then I'd definitely let them know I'm "travelling" somewhere ;) and i probably wouldn't be the only one.

dhodgejr and starboarder.... Not sure how you are still sane. I am going nuts inside. I ordered 25 and 30 days, respectively, after you. I'm emailing my SA almost every other day. They told me I could get a stealth for $2k more, but the color and interior wouldnt be what I originally ordered. If they had that, I would be tempted. Wife was even onboard for the additional $2k...

34 days and counting for me. 27 days til end of year.

I second you on this!! We couldn't pass up on our white interior. We went back and forth and decided to keep our LR AWD. Tough choice!!

I took delivery of my M3 (blue,LR AWD,sports wheels w/FSD) yesterday!! Excellent!! I ordered it on Halloween with 5-9weeks wait. It arrived at the Tesla Service Center In Rockville, Maryland

on Monday, December 2nd and I picked it up on Wednesday, December 4th. So it took 5 weeks; not a bad estimate. I am glad it was 5 weeks instead of 9 weeks!

Glad to see everyone getting theirs, especially those after others who ordered in September and October. At this point, still no VIN, no 5YJ in source code, and I was told by the SA that it takes 2 weeks to get the car sent to the east coast and then a few days to clean up and detail. So that puts it at December 10, maybe 12th to get a VIN, shipped and sent to the east coast. Not looking likely at this point. Losing hope that I'll get my dream car this year. That's a $1875 deal breaker. Ill probably cancel the car at that point. It's a stretch to get the car at what we are paying for it and to have to pay $1875 more, might not be able.

Those on the east coast, things are starting to dim a little. West coast'ers, rejoice, you have plenty of time. Probably end up getting the east coast'ers cars to fill Tesla's quarter delivery numbers.

LR AWD White/White 18" Aero, AP, ordered 10/31, Charlotte, NC

I hope you get your car soon but i'm sorry this reads like a war time letter to a partner back home. It's going to be okay! :)

Yeah i hear ya..Kinda sad...thought about removing the post. But I've been waiting 3 years for this car. Got the green light from the wife on Halloween. Pulled the trigger and thought that it would happen sooner. They did say 5-8 weeks from ordering. Its been 5 weeks...so they have 21 days to deliver!!!

Hoping that I get good news today. I will be going to the Sales room today to see if I can put some pressure on them to get me some information...any information.

How was the fit and finish? From what I've read recently, the M3s coming off the line these days are pretty good (e.g. no panel gaps etc).

Congrats!!!!
