M3 Clicking sound from HVAC - Is this normal ?

First winter here with heat on, let me know if this is normal or not.

I hear the occasional clicking sound, not very loud but just a bit odd and random.
I tried to narrow when the clicking starts and stops but still can't seem to do that.

i have the same ... but only for the first ~2-3 minutes....

for what it's worth... my F150 had the same thing.

Yep, the HVAC will make random noises as the heater warms up. It will also sometimes make these noises when the heat is set relative to outside temperature such that it can't quite balance whether it should be heating or cooling.

In the past, I have often had a bit of random clicking noise in the HVAC system at this time of year. In fact, I had the noise in my 2020 M3 a few weeks ago. Years ago, I took a brand new Volvo to the dealership with that noise. They found leaf debris inside the air vents and told me that it's common in the northeast at this time of year. Since then I've always ignored the noise and it has always gone away in a short period of time

have the same thing for first 10 seconds. The heat pump cars seem to have this a bit more than the older cars.
