Madeline Island

Anyone tried taking your Tesla for an extended stay on the island? Looks like a charging desert. I’m trying to figure out if it’s feasible to drive the Tesla or take my ICE car.

I know there’s a 50kW charger in Washburn, WI but it has bad reviews on PlugShare so I’m leery about depending on it.

Ashland is now on the find us map as a future supercharger location but with a target opening of 2025.

Update: I did drive my Model Y and survived. Got a 90% charge in Duluth and topped it off on Madeline via the EVMatch app (thanks Martin!). I drove all around the island and had no worries about making it back to Duluth.
