Manually activate parking sensor (w/o putting gear in reverse)

Is there a way to manually activate the parking sensors in a M3 without changing gear to reverse?

I think what Julien might have been trying to say, but I will say explicitly, you don't have to be in R for the parking sensors in the car to be active. They are active when in D as well. They ding all the time when I pull into my driveway or going through a drive-thru.
