Map showing European road numbers

My commute involves the M8 in Scotland yet my Model 3 says it's the E15. No mention of M8 at all which if you didn't know the roads would be confusing.

I have contacted Tesla and their reply was dismissive and said it's the "European road number" I suppose it doesn't matter that we don't use it!

Anyone else had this?

Never knew this was a thing until I saw this post. Learn something new everyday!

They don't control the maps. They use an open source system (OpenStreet or something like that) as the source data and they update their geo/nav system according to whatever data is in OpenStreet. You can go into OpenStreet yourself and submit a labeling change if you want.
