My MCU on my 2013 Model S is sometimes very slow to come on first thing in the morning, it has had the EMCU update wonder if anyone knows why this is happening.
My MCU on my 2018 Model S is also very slow to start up, not just first thing in morning, but also after every off-period during the day. I"m talking several minutes, even after rebooting. How do I know which version of MCU I have?

You have MCU2. If you have sentry mode on, is it faster to start? It should be as it leaves the processor powered up. Still, my MCU2 (2016S with retrofit) normally had the display on by the time I sat down, even with Sentry mode off. I think a few times it did take a bit longer, but that was rare.
I guess your MCU is about my age. I am slow to get up in the mornings too
But yea, after I had that problem, I went to the MCU2 and all is MUST faster.
Funny - driving out yesterday about an hour after I posted, my MCUZ was dead for about 15 seconds and I couldn't drive off. Both screens were black. It fixed itself (I didn't reboot), but the first time I've had that happen in my 2022 S. Sentry mode was off (at home).
