Hello all,
I dropped off my 2016.5 MS for an MCU2 upgrade this morning. The car has FSD package included (HW3). I was initially quoted $2250. I tried to explain that the Tesla website clearly states that the $2250 is for "Autopilot Computer 2.0 or 2.5" and $1750 for others. The service manager said my car initially had AP 2.5, and was later upgraded to 3.0, which is why the cost is $2250.
I initially agreed, but this does not make sense since MCU2 upgrade is applicable to cars built before march 2018, and they would always have come with AP 2 or 2.5 since HW 3 was not released till 2019.
Has anyone had similar experience?
Thanks!
