2950 miles roundtrip with a Hertz rental (thru my employer) resulted in a $161 charge in electricity. The electricity is itemized on the Hertz receipt. Average or the trip 237 whr per mile.

My calculations said they charged enough of a surcharge on the rental Teslas that it was hard to have the electricity savings make it a cheaper rental. But maybe on a long trip that could be the case. Compare what the cost would have been with a similar sized gas car and gasoline?

Heck of a lot more relaxing than an ICE trip. I have completed no less than 6 round trips from east central FL to NW Ohio in a Tesla. Two in an ICE (hybrid Lexus). No comparison. IMHO
I think its easier to do a road trip on the new RWD than the 2018-2020 SR +. I done my share in my old car but there were times hypermiling was needed. Glad your trip went well and relaxing.
