You should measure how much space you have between the top of the front tire and the upper front control arm.

Absolutely, that is one of two spots I'd worry about. The other is the front outside tire edge to fenderwell clearance while turning. At a certain point in steering deflection, that edge is very close to the fender well. You could address the control arm issue by increasing wheel offset, but then you'd decrease the tire edge to fenderwell clearance during a turn. I think what you'd need to do would be decrease the wheel offset to 35mm and go with a 235 wide tire.

This is all speculation of course. The only way to know is to mount a larger tire and check the clearance. I don't know if anyone has done that with a Y yet.
