Your complaining that CCS is not more common? Why?----If Europe mandated one standard-CCS-then why wouldn't or couldn't that happen in the USA? Tesla can use the J1772 or CHAdeMo sites but the reverse it not possible for non-Tesla EV owners. Tesla has made certain European bound vehicle CCS compatible but the reverse is not true for non-Tesla owners. How long before a lawsuit is created about this issue? Wouldn't Tesla stand to increase their "income" by allowing such via "annual membership fee"
and per kW charges?
Probably, thats’ why Tesla extended an offer to share their network with other EV manufacturers if they would contribute to the build out and maintenance. The legacy automakers turned down that offer largely because they didn’t want to appear to legitimize Tesla in the eyes of the auto buying public.
Tesla’s solution is a much more elegant solution and if it hadn’t been for the hubris of the legacy automakers they would have set aside their pride and just agreed to make Tesla’s version the standard. (Ok, that last part may have been a bit of editorializing).
