Hi everyone,
I just installed some aftermarket wheels on my Model 3 Highland. After leaving the shop, I saw my studs not completely clearing the lug nuts like on the stock rims (see attached images). I'd say the stock rims were protruding 1-2mm after the thread end, while now they are on par with it. When questioning the shop manager, they said they always test the number of turns or won't install them at all. I have a couple of questions:
Thank you in advance!

- Do you think it's safe for everyday driving? I checked at home and I got 8.5 turns before torquing down to spec, which added maybe another quarter of a turn.
- Do you think torquing to spec (129 lb.ft / 175 Nm) on less than the full depth of the thread could damage/strip the studs?
Thank you in advance!
