Gotcha. Just saying with teslas sporadic delivery times it may expire…just saying. One thing to consider here is that rates are likely to go up again. I'll likely lock mine in again this week to avoid the possibility of them going up.
Really. Interesting…do you guys have something similar? In Canada we don't have Monroney stickers
Not sure but you can’t really see that unless it’s dark and headlights are shining against a wall. You need to accept delivery before you can open the doors so you can’t use the light show as a check anyways.Understood. It could change quickly, my April order is two weeks away from my 2 week window, moved up by 3 months... You never know.I was also an April order, 7ths, but I bailed out with all the edd delays and booked a stock lr 3 for pick up in 3 weeks.
My new order is a stock one and I've gotten a vin and have been told it's shipped from Cali to Chicago eventually to Toronto. May 21-May 27. Can it still change alot?It could change quickly, my April order is two weeks away from my 2 week window, moved up by 3 months... You never know.
Probably not for you, I meant to reply to the guy you replied to, my bad.My new order is a stock one and I've gotten a vin and have been told it's shipped from Cali to Chicago eventually to Toronto. May 21-May 27. Can it still change alot?
My SA said I can get in and look and play around with the screen and shifter to make sure everything is to my liking before I accept. If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t accept without being able to get in anyway. I’ve read horror stories about the screen having hairline cracks, stitching crooked on seats and headrests or dirty seats, glovebox broken or screen not responding. Not sure but you can’t really see that unless it’s dark and headlights are shining against a wall. I honestly think it’s all just sporadic man. I had a 2 week windows and even a one week window and it jumped back out by months then weeks later came back down.Is there any data on how long until VIN assignment once you’ve received a two week window?
I’m wondering the same. Mine is 235xxx and everyone else is 241xxx and up.I got a vin 234 made on Apr 9. What does this say abt the vehicle. I was reading that alot of thr codes were 242 plus. Is mine na old one? Would it contain the matrix lights?
Mine is 238xxx. Yeah seems like we have slightly older builds. But don’t worry, seems like the newer builds are the ones with old headlights. We may be in luck.I’m wondering the same. Mine is 235xxx and everyone else is 241xxx and up.
Yea that is the good part but at the same time I’m worried about it being a reject or something…maybe something is wrong with it. Idk, guess I just worry too much.Mine is 238xxx. Note that after the hue and cry about dropping the mobile connector, they still dropped the mobile connector. And that was for an integral feature that was removed after being advertised to be part of the car. I think it will be difficult to get people particularly incensed about a change in feature level for stuff that isn't even advertised. Everything is still going to work on the car, but some features won't be as fancy as they might. How many people have even heard of matrix headlamps and what they can do? How many care enough that they will actually refuse the car?Again, i know its supply and demand, but it’s not fair to those who made the decision to get the car based on those “unmentioned” updates. Is it gonna sway people to reject? I dont know…but its kinda like the mobile charger….imagine if you ordered one in February and you didnt get one despite when you bought it…it was adverised as included…we need to make some noise like we did for the chargers and see what their response will be.
Not randomly, but based on the profit that Tesla will make. If you offer Tesla $1.00 to build a car for you and somebody else offers them $1.15 to build a car for them, Tesla is going to build the car for the $1.15 guy first. Tesla puts an electric vehicle on the road either way, but by building the $1.15 car first, they make more money, allowing them to build more factories, do more research, and so on.That is such BS from Tesla ! it really should be first come first served but they do it randomly . I also have OD of 2/12 and see others with later OD getting their car. Happy for all of you but ….you know.
I understand that but I was talking about the same configuration car so it is most likely the same $ amount. Not randomly, but based on the profit that Tesla will make. Right. It’s not random in most cases (though others in this and neighboring states with exact same build did get theirs before me). I know it’s calculated. It costs Tesla more to deliver here, since I’m far from Fremont. I knew that going in, but it still sucks and made me feel better to vent to like minded folks on the forum. Not randomly, but based on the profit that Tesla will make. Same configuration, ordered a week after you, also Chicago delivery. Maybe we will get lucky. As long as they have the Matrix headlights lol. What dealership you taking delivery from?OD 3/14, Midnight Silver Metallic/Black/18,N0 FSD, EDD 6/12-7/17
Seems like Ive been waiting so long but hoping to get it late May.
