I'm from Finland myself, so it's slippery half the year. I never use slip start. It just makes the initial throttle much softer, to not break the friction

I think on rollers it might be worse? It would try to spin the wheels slower so they wouldn't slip, but they will slip no matter what because there is zero grip.

It's the same thing in above videos with Audi and Subaru where they have to turn ESP off to get enough wheel spin.
