Model 3 RWD: Bumper Replacement Delivery Flaw

While picking up my model 3 I noticed a slightly loose rear panel on the bumper below the tail lights. I was told that it will be fixed by service and booked an appointment.
Service is now telling me that there is a broken clip inside the bumper and the entire bumper needs to be replaced. A bumper replacement on a new car is the last thing I expected.

Who can I take this up with? What are my options here?

It is really not that big a deal. It will be in and out very quickly, AND they will have a loaner for you.

Let them replace the bumper, shouldn't be a big deal. That's much better than trying to patch the problem.

Maybe escalate to the location manager and ask for free charging miles or loyalty points. I get your feeling, inspections at various points should have caught this.

Pretty simple:
A: Replace the bumper
B: Don't replace the bumper

Giving the car back is not even an option. After you have taken the vehicle it's yours unless it's a lemon and they can't fix it. A rear bumper is an easy fix, so that doesn't apply.

Your options are fair simple, the best and sane option is let them replace the bumper fascia.
All other options are just looking for profit or troubles.

Tried doing that. All they gave me was sincere apologies. Was worth giving it a go though.
