Model 3 windscreen cracked in impossible place

Was driving down to London and noticed that I had a crack in the windscreen (passenger side)
Can’t remember a stone hitting it or any other contact.
On arrival at my destination, I popped the frunk and it appears that a piece of trim from inside has come loose under the wiper and lodged (I compared to the drivers side) itself against the bottom of the windscreen which has then, in turn) put pressure on the windscreen and cracked it when the wipers came on.
I have attached some photos for clarity.
Anyone else had this happen ?
It’s impossible for a stone or any other oncoming projectile to hit where it has initially cracked as this position is below the bonnet.
Would welcome feedback 👍🏻

That bit of rubber is actually part of the piece that runs along the whole bottom of the windscreen. It’s supposed to clip in on the side and sit between the wing and the bonnet.

Unfortunately what can happen is that the bonnet can catch the leading edge of it when lifting, particularly if the bonnet isn’t aligned properly, and once it’s bent back it’s never true again, and will most likely keep catching. I ended up getting mine replaced under warranty but the replacement part is just as liable to catch as the old one.

What appears to have happened in your case is that the bonnet caught it at some point and pulled it right off the clip and then kept bending it back. It’s a poor design.

That being said I can’t see how the wiper would’ve cracked the screen when turned on? I’m struggling to visualise it.

Included some photos of what mine looked like pre-replacement, and what I was resorting to in order to try and make it sit right again (it made no difference)

Maybe you just never spotted it until the rubber piece moved ... anyway it's surely a warranty issue ...

I have had a real strange experience with my windscreen. I was driving home and a lorry travelling in opposite direction dumped a load of water on the windscreen. Got home and all was fine but when I went to drive it 30 mins later there was a 12inch crack in the screen. On inspection it’s a clean crack with no chip at all. The only thing I could find on really close inspection was a slight mark underneath the windscreen wiper. This can’t have been caused by a stone as it couldn’t possibly hit there so I am wondering if this is similar. i also can’t get a replacement screen with no timescale on it at all. With so many model 3’s in UK it’s unbelievable to see they have no stock of screens

For cracked windscreen, message Tesla via the App to book an appointment and tell them it is for windscreen replacement and ask for a quote. Then report via usual route i.e. Autoglass then tell them Tesla glass is in such short supply, they will book appointment regardless but it will get pushed back every week for months. So then call your insurance company, armed with the Tesla quote and be polite but firm saying you need the car repaired ASAP. They will approve the Tesla quote and you will get it replaced at your local SC much quicker than Autoglass. Been there, done that :)
