MODEL S - Error Code BMS_w035 intermittent and disappeared

Hi all,

2013 Model S P85. I got the infamous 035 code a few days ago, and has since disappeared. It only came up once and since it is hasn’t returned im not sure whether something’s actually wrong.

From what I can tell, it may be related to:
-battery heat/coolant pump of sorts
-L rear drive unit
-12V

I don’t believe the drive unit is a possibility considering it was replaced several years ago, and the 12V is recent as well. Leads me to believe it may be the pump but the code has since disappeared.

It’s been about 4 days and I’ve driven the car 200 miles since.

Note the vehicle also did a system check/restart for any problems on its own when driving the vehicle later that day (code is as already gone/not active)

Any thoughts on what’s going on and whether to be concerned are appreciated

go into service mode n see if u have more codes associated with it, most times there are
when did it happen?
battery heater could be the cause or the Drive unit

actually its very possible unless u have -U revision (with rotor cooling delete)
Much appreciated.

DU is from 2018, not sure of the code but same as all others being replaced at that time. No issues with it at all.

No other codes in service or factory mode in 300 miles.

Possibly just a fluke.

Thanks
