Model S headlamps stay on with the car off?

Just went out to the pitch-black garage and noticed that both LED strips in the headlamps of my 20 MSLR were partially illuminated, even though the car is off (asleep). Car is plugged into a wall charger, but not actively charging. What gives? First time I have seen this.

If you’re talking about very faint illumination, that’s normal. It’s not all the time, but it happens.

I am. I have never seen this behavior before. It makes no sense - why leave these on?

No idea. My new 2023 Model S doesn’t do this, but my 2018 Model S did. Other people in the forum have asked about it in the past.
