Model S Key fob with Model 3

Will it blend? I have a key fob from a Model S and it looks identical to the M3 fob but i cant get it to work. Anyone with any experience with this?

Think the Model 3 is BT and the Model S uses the standard 315MHz key FOB frequency.

Even the newer refreshed x/s fobs won’t work with 3/y?

Since they are all proximity now.
