Tesla found in garage where massive Miami Springs house fire started

Firefighters battled an early morning blaze Thursday after a fire broke out in the garage of a Miami Springs home, officials said.

This Tesla fire in Miami Springs was also an older model Tesla. Is it true that Tesla recommnends against charging your car inside your garage?

Tesla has no recommendation against charging inside the garage. I have been charging EVs in the garage for 10 years without any issue. There are many who had done the same without issue. We just have to wait for the investigation. It could be many possibilities, improper electric wire/charger/outlet installation, wires chewed by mouse or other critters, other electrical problems, something else happened in the garage, even if it is spontaneous fire on the Tesla, question still remains .. what happened before that. I have seen coffee shop burned down when electrical fire started inside the wall due to improper cleaning and probably older building.

Interesting, I haven't ever heard of putting a fire blanket over something to contain the fire while you drag it out into the open. Sounds like their training paid off.
