Month long EDD ranges are meaningless. Once you get 1-2 week wide EDD windows you will get a VIN soon.

We received our VIN only ~7-10 days before we took possession of our Y.

I noticed in another thread that Tesla mentionned to someone waiting for delivery,
that, in the case of East cost, the VIN are (and can only be) assigned when the cars have been received to a depot.

Why VIN are gone

placed MY long range sep 2021, and recently assigned VIN (austin vin) and delivery next week. But I just found the VIN not showing on my account anymore. Asked tesla and was told the vin assigned is not for east coast (don’t know what that means), they will assign me a new vin in next few weeks...
