Motorized, Power Frunk on the MY

Other than a few people saying they want one, I haven't seen any posts about if/where/how to get one. I see that one has come out for the M3. I know the M3 and MY are similar in a lot of ways, think this is one of them? I'd love to have a power frunk!

I think the struts on the MY is different than the M3 so I do not believe the power frunk made for the 3 will fit the Y.

So it seems as though the struts on the M3 are exposed and therefor easily accessed. From what I understand and can tell from pictures/videos, the MY's struts are in fact different and hidden below. Not to say something can't be done, but it looks like it would have to be a whole new design. Cheers to hoping someone is working hard on it as I'd love one when my MY comes in.

Having to manually close the frunk with both hand is one of the bigger first world problem for me with the model Y. The S loaner I got has a much stiffer hood and didn’t depress nearly as much.
