Wow, that sounds very dry. They expect you to downgrade / upgrade without any incentives? I am worried now.Just got a call. No offer to comp anything. Said I had three options: SR+, LR, or refund.

So if you choose LR, you pay the extra cost for upgrade or they give some config LR for free?Just got a call. No offer to comp anything. Said I had three options: SR+, LR, or refund.

Question: I originally placed my order for a MR 15 days ago, and upgraded to LR this Monday. The system had matched me to a 2018 car and generated a sales contract for me to E-sign at the website that referenced the 2018 car (and its lower price). I didn't sign, because I'm obviously waiting for the LR in a 2019, but that contract for the old car is STILL there. They keep saying it's not preventing me from being matched to a new car, and that when one is assigned it will automatically overwrite the old contract with a new one, but I have my doubts. Does anyone here have any experience with this or something similar? I really feel like the presence of that contract is somehow proof that the system is assuming I'm locked into that old car, and that's why I'm not being assigned a new (correctly configured) one. Anyone know about this? Thanks!

That bites! Try calling your local Tesla store, they may get you something.Just got a call. No offer to comp anything. Said I had three options: SR+, LR, or refund.
Price just went up today. $1500 more for LR RWD.Yea. Pay $3k more for LR or take $3k off for SR+.
I asked if they were able to do anything to offset the increase to LR since I didn’t want to give up the premium interior. He said they aren’t offering anything at this time. Told him I had to think about. It was a pretty dry/cold interaction.
I am frustrated. Tesla makes a great car but they aren’t so great at the business stuff.

I can see the no discounts now because of the price increases today. If you go to LR save $1500 ($3000 vs $4500). If you go SR+ save $500 (-3000 vs -2500). The problem is that everyone who ordered an MR should have been called yesterday and have all discounts the same amount for a new LR.
FWIW, my Tesla account order page has been updated with the LR configuration, but it's not providing any details on discounts, so the price is shown as $54,000 (vs. $51,000 as I'd configured my MR order). The page does note that the price "excludes tax, registration, discounts and fees," so this isn't necessarily an error, but the fact that I see no mention anywhere in writing of the $3,000 in discounts I was promised has me a bit nervous. I've e-mailed my sales associate at the Dedham, MA store where I took a test drive to see if I can get something in writing (or at least in an e-mail).
Glad everything worked out! They hosed me on the wheels, she said paint OR wheels. So I went with aero.So after a long conversation, the only thing they can discount is paint and wheels. Asked about getting a wall connector or increasing my trade-in or anything else really. Said the only thing they are allowed to comp is paint and wheels. Can’t touch battery, AP/FSD, or white interior.
So that is good news for the people who want a color other than black and/or wanted the 19” rims.
FWIW I placed an order for an inventory LEMR black/black/aero/AP (located at the gigafactory when I ordered it) on Sunday night 3/17, and I received an appointment for delivery here in CO Tuesday 3/26. I expected it to move pretty fast since the car was already built, but it moved even quicker than I expected. I received the VIN and details in my account this morning, and everything lines up as expected. It's a Fremont manufactured car FWIW, so I'm not sure if it really is located at the gigafactory or not. I don't really care where it's coming from as long as it looks ok when it gets here.
I'd call the Nevada call center (enter zip 66604 and you'll be routed right there) and see if they can get you in touch with someone to upgrade. If not I can reach out to the guy who called me and ask if I can give away his #.I have an order for MR pending since 4th March which does not show any VIN but have not been called yet to upgrade / downgrade. I have sent multiple emails and made phone calls, but my Owner Advisor and Delivery Specialist still maintains that I will get MR and dont need to change the order configuration. I am really confused because from what I have heard most of the people have been called to change their orders. Do we have anyone else who is still waiting for MR without a VIN assigned? I had earlier rejected a 2018 MR before it was discontinued, are they giving me a hard time for that?
Thanks, I will try the zip and check. It would be great if the guy who called you can help out.I'd call the Nevada call center (enter zip 66604 and you'll be routed right there) and see if they can get you in touch with someone to upgrade.
