Music player open every time

Every time I turn on the car the music player is open at the button of the screen. Is it possible to turn that off?

No. Some software dweeb at Tesla only uses the map and media player, so that's what you get with v9.

The media player in my car seems to be triggered almost at random e.g. media player not in use, park the car, get out, close the driver's door, open the trunk or a rear door, player starts. I have given up trying to understand the behaviour and am still puzzled as to why there is no On/Off button for the media player.

I also dislike how it doesn’t remember your chosen height for the media panel and always reverts back to the middle height.

Agree. I hope this gets fixed soon. I can't figure out is behavior either.

To have the display retain the last app you had open upon returning to the car would be my request also.

Some comments being made do show some haven’t actually taken time to understand how the new UI works or haven’t used it at all.

This issue is legit though.

This appears to be an extension of the V8 bug, that caused the media player to automatically turn on when re-entering the vehicle (even if it was off when leaving). Now we also get the media player app displayed on re-entry.

How hard can it really be to fix this bug? It's been 2 years - and the bug was carried forward into the V9 release...

This is my least favorite thing with V9. Why can't it remember how I had it set when I left?
