I believe it's because the tires are wider. This creates a larger frontal area (kneel down and look at your car tires from the front of the car) and higher rolling resistance.

I love driving my p100d in the mountains, but I sure love autopilot for my commute or when I'm sitting in traffic! The great thing about FSD is that you'll be able to choose the moments you drive the car and skip the mundane stretches.

I get the concern about the 2.33 lock-to-lock thing, but in terms of button controls, I think we'll get used to it. I ride motorcycles and the horn isn't in the middle of the handlebars. The blinkers aren't on a stalk. The human mind is pretty adaptable.

I have the adjustable ones. When Tesla replaced the autopilot computer, they recalibrated the suspension settings and wiped out my ride height. I had to go back and adjust the lowering links even lower afterwards.

Not really. A button is a button. The old wheel had 6 buttons and 4 scroll directions. The new one has 8 buttons and 4 scroll directions. It doesn't really matter that the buttons are blinkers. The haptic thing might be hard to emulate, but even that isn't rocket science.

I think it's more natural actually. Up for forward, down for reverse. It matches the birds eye view of the car

It was a long time ago, so happily stand corrected. I thought I paid an extra $3k for Autopilot back then, but maybe that only promised basic autopilot functions which were delivered successfully. I thought there was a promise of FSD back then, but could be mis-remembering.

Yah, back then you paid for eap and fsd separately. If I remember correctly? That was years ago.

The production quality is emberassin I mean, had I known that no FSD features would be released during the life of my cars, I wouldn't have obviously.

I never thought about FSD. I paid for it in my 85D and got zero value. Paid for it again in my P100D and got zero value. Now I'm going to pay for it again in the Plaid and hope they actually release some FSD features. That kind of sucks :(
