Is it just my imagination, or have the maps changed for the better in the last couple weeks? I’m on 2020.28.6, and I swear the maps look a little different now. Zoomed-in more by default, more detail, etc. Maybe it’s just the lock-down driving me crazy.

You're still driving around in the middle of a pandemic?

I too am on 2020.28.6 since Aug. 3rd but haven't noticed anything different. Been out about a dozen times.

That data is the aerial view available to google. That’s not onboard at all and is streamed to your car as you drive. If whatever service google uses has updated the aerial images for the area you drive in, you will get the new images. This happens all the time in different areas of the world.

The onboard maps are only used for navigation and you can’t actually see these at all on a model 3 (you previously could see the view on the dash of the model s during navigation, but I sold mine years ago so I don’t know if that is still the case)
