Need help on a question on fitting 2 bikes in the Model Y

No issues getting the XTR Pro 2 on the car? I’ve been using mine 2 years for various ebikes. Sometimes it’s easy, sometimes it takes many tries. And yes I’ve tried lube! I think it’s visibility + alignment.

the bike rack post that slides into the trailer hitch, just keeps it from seizing and makes it easier to slide in and out

Wonderful! Any tips on getting the ebikes in and out? They are heavy and over 70 plus lbs.

I have a couple of Lectric Bikes that are about 67lbs each. I have a "Hollywood rack" for fat tire bikes that also weighs about 45 lbs.

just a few pointers,
1. If you can remove the battery of your bikes before loading them, it will reduce the total weight burden on the hitch. I also remove the seats/seatpost since I have a quick release on them,
2. to load a heavy bike, I just lift one side at a time, I normally line it up next to the rack first. then apply rear tire brake while lifting the front wheel (kind of like doing a wheelie) while diagonally putting it on the bike carrier.
3. next you have to lift the rear end of the bike and place on the carrier. but this time it will be easier because the weight is significantly reduced since half of the weight is on the rack already.

I'll just add a data point for discussion, lol. I just had 3 bags of concrete (80lbs x3) on the hitch hauler and it was rock sold with me (200lbs) jumping up and down on it. For what that's worth.
