I guess everybody who voted may be interested in the results, so this is the translation of the article Autoblog.nl published as a result of the poll:

"With the Jaguar F - Type and the Audi RS6 Avant it was close call, but eventually the Tesla Model S won!
As every year, there was a poll again last weeks, a shortlist of 14 models, where you could vote for.
We don't look into the future and guess what cars will be popular. No, the audience chooses the winner. You.
It's about models that came out this year (!) and that therefore can already be seen on the road.

Last year the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was the rightful winner, before the BMW M5, but this year it is the Tesla Model S.
A model of a new car brand, with a new type of drive, with mountains of torque and very interesting tax advantages.
The brand even opened a distribution center in Tilburg this year and is now worth a fortune on the stock market.
Sure, there were recently some small incidents with batteries and fire, but honestly, what brand has no problem with that?
And yes, the car is even on the short list of that doomed Car of the Year award (it won't be, will it?).
Anyway, we could not imagine a better winner.
And there is no doubt about it : Tesla CEO Elon Musk is the automotive Chuck Norris, the incarnate Tony Stark and the final boss of Silicon Valley. Congratulations!"
