There is a lot of stuff on ebay that is overpriced. I frequently see items that are at Costco being resold at a 15-26% markup.

costco makes sense b/c of membership and shipping convenience to avoid lines etc. But Tesla ? (esp since we're tech savvy ) Even this forum has few discounted used 14-50.

Good point. Just an example. I also see stuff I see other places like target. People expect eBay to be a “deal” so they don’t shop around.

Shopping around is good. Sometimes you might find someone that has an extra and selling at a fair price.

Just don’t assume Tesla.com would be the most expensive because it’s the manufacturer or eBay is automatically the cheapest because it’s an auction without doing a bit of research.

yeah, I also thought ebay is a good source for price matching, but turns out people are just desperate on ebay and it is better sometime to price match with an actual manufacturer, but not always, some might just give them away for free just pay shipping

Tesla is one of those products that idiot resellers think is automatically worth any price. I cannot understand why Ebay even allows people to list Tesla Wall Chargers at $700 + shipping. Almost everything listed for Tesla on eBay can be purchased cheaper, new, and with warranty straight from the Tesla's web site.
