Pretty interesting new car from NEVS/SAAB. Sounds like they were planning on production until the owner Evergrande came under risk of bankruptcy and had to stop all projects that didn't have immediate ROI.

One big question mark for me is the hub motors. I remember a customer event with a Model S project manager back in the early 2010s. Most popular questions from the audience were "why don't you use hub motors". He said that Tesla had explored in depth and it turned out not close to worthwhile. The biggest drawback mentioned with hub motors was the increased unsprung mass.

NEVS uses the to hub motor company that Sandy Munro interviews here:
. Perhaps it's worth it now with the improvements that have been made?

rivian put motors at the wheels and seems to be doin ok... unsprung mass is an issue to address as well...

idk much about these things in terms of physics but w time anything can be improved and made better...

no clue from me...
