New Florida Bill in the State Senate - Senate Bill 452

There's a new bill in Florida that I wanted to alert everyone to. It is Florida Senate Bill 452. The description of the bill states:

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations; Requiring the Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Office of Energy within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Florida Clean Cities Coalitions, or other appropriate entities, to develop and adopt by a specified date a master plan for electric vehicle charging stations on the state highway system, etc.

Sounds like a good thing to me. Being proactive is always better than being reactive.

I may be a cynic, but this looks like they may study this to death. Lots of "evaluate" and "identify", but not much "do it". I hope I'm wrong.

... that's NEVI program formula initiative promulgated by FHWA requiring every state of the Union to develop its own National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure formula program based on respective local needs ...one of the Florida's NEVI versions did not incorporate the impact of "hurricane evacuation" corridors.
