New York Delivery at Turning Stone Casino

Hello, yes, I picked up my MYLR there! A few points:
  • When ai initially called, they stated my car was not in eligible for pickup there, I had to call back and inquire more about Eligibility which is related to full funding upfront.A very helpful TA teams chatted the turning stone after strongly expressing my desire to pickup the car there.
  • If you have selected an inventory car and you recently were issued a VIN, I recommend you connect with a TA ASAP to reroute the car. For me, we had to reroute the car from NJ that was initially en route Mt Kisco NY and caught it just in time.
  • Once the car was targeted to to the Turning Stone, actually greater flexibility behind the 3 day window was provided. I was able to schedule a 2 week window,
  • The Turning Stone delivery does not allow Tesla financing. I initially was planning to use Tesla financing due to the requirement to have full funding. I did have to jump through a few hoops to rearrange third party financing (actually saved a bit on % rate). There a a few extra steps related to acquisition as such as you are now walking on site fully purchasing the car from Tesla fully funded up front similar to a complete cash transaction.
  • The TA I had was super and assisted with questions/answers and outstanding support throughout the process.
  • Not sure where you are located, for me, picking up the vehicle at this location was a major improvement and an easy day trip (3 hour RT) vs 10 plus and I most likely would have had to have an overnighter if picked up from Mt Kisco.
  • I was concerned about not having the dealer on site to repair anything I found- non issue, the car was impeccable and I could not find anything wrong. Additionally I took the position that if anything was found wrong, full warranty could handle it.
  • In summary week worth the option, and would definitely do it again!
  • I hope this helps and if you have not placed your order yet, please feel free to use my referral code so we both can benefit and ask any additional questions!

  • Informative

This is amazing information, thank you very much! This is about a 35 minute drive from my home, so much more convenient than Mt Kisco.

Great question, I did ask before receipt of the vehicle if it had had been looked over extremely well above the Normal inspection process as I was concerned about not having the on-site service presence. They assured me they looked it over very well and for me, I could not find anything wrong at all and the vehicle was flawless. Perhaps they check it over a bit more with this type of delivery, others can chime in that have received delivery of the vehicle there.

I ordered a Model Y on 8/7 and have had a horrific experience so far with Oneida delivery. The vehicle originally stated estimated delivery 8/16-8/23. As the dates started to pass I called and they confirmed my vehicle was at the location on 8/18. Since I am close by, I drove to the garage and saw the vehicle in the lot.

I have all my documentation completed, paid the down payment, have been paying for car insurance now for 10 days and waiting. I messaged my delivery specialist several times only to get a response along the lines we'll let you know when delivery can be made. I have called the Tesla Sales line and they tell me someone will call me with more info, and never get a call back.

The car now has been sitting there for 1 week and I still cannot select a delivery date on the app. I have requested if can I drive to Mt. Kisco or Brooklyn to get another car and they tell me this will delay things further. I am stuck now with no vehicle and a lack of trust in what anyone tells me. After being a 2 time Tesla owner and Solar customer, I did not expect to have any type of experience like this.

Honestly, I feel like there's something going on with the location. If you are in a hurry for a vehicle, not sure I'd want to take delivery there.

I’m actually at the Turning Stone now for an event and I saw the signs for delivery, which prompted me to do a little research because I went up to the parking garage roof where deliveries are supposed to take place and there were no Tesla people at all. I snagged a few pics of the delivery area.

Yea, I don't think they have staff there everyday. I did not see anyone when I went too. My feeling is they send delivery people there at determined times for delivery, hence the delay I am having. Only my gut feeling because no one would admit that to me.

I now understand what is going on. I had a delivery scheduled on Aug 25 by a TA and was told that I could bring cashier’s check at delivery. But someone from Mount Kisco location called me a couple of days before delivery saying they are cancelling my delivery appointment because they have to have me sign physical paper and receive cashiers check (my preferred mode of payment) before delivery as the car needs to be registered before delivery date. They also sent me an ups tracking number for an overnight mail.
It has been 3 days and the tracking shows only label has been created. I was wondering whether the shipment was lost or something. I kept calling Tesla only to know yesterday through conflicting sources that the shipment will be actually sent out yesterday. That too didn’t turn out to be true as the tracking number still shows label created.
Clearly, they are not willing to admit that they are causing delays.
This is my first Tesla and I am having second thoughts about the order now.

I wouldn't. This isn't going to have any bearing on the vehicle you receive, it's just a temporary inconvenience. Tesla is very much a "ready, fire, aim" company.

They probably just haven't ironed out all the wrinkles with this "deliver cars on the reservation" process, so you're waiting for someone to figure something out (and that person probably already has two other jobs).

The paperwork will come, the car will be delivered, and you'll enjoy it as much as you've been expecting... it might just take a few more days than originally estimated.
