Newbie question - Is the online music free?

Not talking about Apple Music (I'm an Android guy). But when I can call up almost any song in my Tesla ("Play 'Hello Darlin' by Conway Twitty"), am I being charged somewhere? Will I get a bill, or is this "free music"?

Provided you pay for the streaming capability (Premium Connectivity) itself, yes, the music itself is free. And actually, I think it's pretty good (although my tastes may be different than others).

If you don't pay in advance, you won't get charged without authorization.

That means, if you haven't paid, and you can call up some songs, then it is the built-in free slacker service.

Also, the TuneIn service is free as well, so you can listen to remote radio stations and podcasts for free too.
