No power steering after summon

There's this street I park on that has perpendicular parking and it's really hard to see when to back out. That's okay, because I can stand outside the car, look both ways and back the car out using summon when the coast is clear. Today I did that but when I got in the car, no power steering! I pulled forward again and parked the car, and backed up again while in the driver's seat, but nothing. I got out, walked away, and then when I came back it worked.

I'm having a similar issue intermittent issue - May 2016 P90D and so is Rhatid Power steering failure/recovery . Interesting how using summon was unique in your experience. Has it happened again since? If you power the car off and on, it seems to clear the issue.

Similar thing happened to me today (without summon). I parked the car, started to get out and then noticed I parked crooked. So, I got back in, left the door ajar and started to correct my park job when the power steering stopped working. A few hours later I got in the car, the Dashboard computer rebooted, and viola, the power steering was back. No error messages. 2016 Model S on version 2018.26.
