IIRC, in anticipation of a prior PSPS, Tesla brought one of the Mobile Megapack Supercharger trailers to the Placerville Supercharger site. In that specific case, the power wasn't actually shut off. Also, many years ago when the Harris Ranch Supercharger was having grid problems with the utility, they did bring a huge semi-trailer sized diesel generator to the site as backup.
