Number plate plinths M3/Y interchangeable?

Planning on getting a shortened front and rear plate for my MY, and mounting them using the OEM plinths after cutting them down a bit.

However I'm struggling to find OEM plinths for sale for the Y, only for the 3. Does anyone know if the two are the same part or are the contours on the cars in those areas different enough for a different part altogether?

Tesla have an online parts catalog that should show subtleties of different parts.

Nice one! Seems they have a different part number so I'm guessing they are a slightly different shaper after all which is a bit of a bummer.

I take it from the massive part order form that regular guys off the street can't just order parts directly from Tesla, can you order from SC's like with other manufacturers?
