Funny, I just had that clear coat only conversation with my wife last night. I’d think the clear coat would take the place of the paint, so no rust?
I remember when they officially revealed the Model 3, and Elon had the cars up on stage. The silver one looked exactly like what we’re talking about. In the end, they came out with the ’regular’ silver paint, not that more metallic look. Still love the color, but I would have loved that all the more.
