Official roof rack for the Model 3 out of stock

With not being in stock for some time and reading of some owners having installation issues, can one assume that Tesla has withdrawn the roof rack altogether? Tesla themselves are not giving out any info on the matter which I can only assume is because they see it would hurt sales, or could there be other reasons? Their communications dept. (do they have one?) should actually communicate on this (for some) important matter. Seems rather amateurish the whole thing.

There obviously is an official roof rack as people have received it and installed it.

If tesla is changing the design or not is up in the air, but obviously at some point they will reintroduce it and sell more.

I just went to the Yakima site and priced out a roof rack for the M3 ($736 including locks and front aero piece)

This commonly happens, same thing happened with the key fob. Initial "you only have 10 minutes to order rush", product delivery and then a long out of stock wait.

The roof rack is available now on the US and Canadian websites as of right now. I just ordered mine.

Hey there- does anyone have an update on the return of the roof rack? I agree that it's in production again...Just picked up our ride and will need the rack to move bikes and boards...

Bought and installed M3 roof rack. Easy to install after watching Youtube videos. Only slightly challenging part is getting torque correct for bolt. Very quite on freeway. Barely any additional wind noise. Added Yakima Highroad bike rack.
