On-screen visualization of vehicle behind you

A month or two ago, when cars stopped dancing on my screen, I started noticing that the on-screen visualization stopped showing the car right behind me in my lane, and occasionally the cars behind me in the adjacent lanes. I have HW 2.5, now on FW 2019.36.2.1, but this behavior started a couple of revs before that.

Just wondering if others are seeing anything different.

HW3 here. My car's MFD is also not showing anything directly behind my car, and only cars that are very close in adjacent lanes are shown.

yes, noticed the same thing. Visualization does not show cars immediately behind you in your lane even on the highway. Have always found this odd.

I noticed if I zoom out, it doesn’t show vehicles in my lane directly behind me, only in the adjacent lanes behind. Does anyone else experience the same thing?

I have yet to figure out why that visualization image is even necessary. I just finished a 4100 mile road trip and never found that image helpful for anything other than seeing when the headlights were on or off. I'd much prefer to have that screen real estate used for more useful info and/or controls. For example, put the navigation info there so it doesn't cover the top left area of the map!

pinch to zoom like you do on a tablet or similar touch screen. you can spin the car around if you flick at it..
