Alternatives such as S3XY buttons are pricey too. My main issue is that the CTRL-Bar doesn't appear to be fully developed and debugged yet. One of the videos, apparently by or for the developers, seemed pretty lame and unprofessional. Will keep an eye on it to see what happens.

I just found this thread in a search for more info on this CTRL-BAR device. Comments on the Apple App store are very negative: app appears to crash when trying to initiate bluetooth. I like the look and flexibility of this device, but for $200 it needs to be reliable.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone found if there is a way to modify the skip forward/back increments? On my phone I found it preferable to use a 30 sec FF and a 10 sec Rewind to get around ads. In the Tesla it is 15 sec each. (I know - first world problem!)

I prefer chrome trim on the darker colours. The only reason I bought a white car was because I didn't like the lack of trim accent around the windows on the darker coloured cars, especially the blue.

This morning, both my Tesla and Tessie apps still show the rotating wheel of downloading the update which shows as 100%. Guess I'll try deleting and re-installing the apps.

I just went out to the car and re-booted the display by pressing the 2 scroll buttons on the steering wheel. When it came back on everything was good and the update was completed.

If I remember correctly, if you pair your Tesla to the Hansshow instead of to your phone, the phone audio will come from the Hansshow. It has a tiny speaker and has very poor quality sound.

I'm unclear how any firmware/software updates from Hansshow are downloaded if we don't have a SIM card in the unit. Can anyone clarify?

Tesla provides terrible sorting features on Tidal. It doesn't even offer shuffle play.

Interesting. Yes, I just realized yesterday that incoming phone call audio was going to my Beats Fit Pro even when they weren't in my ears, and I didn't know why. However, if they are in their charge case, my phone audio stays with the phone.

That's correct. The top half extends beyond the top of the carpet. FWIW there is also a grounding point nearby to the right of it, under the carpet.

BTW, my 2022 M3LR has the large rubber grommet at the top edge of the passenger foot-well carpet. There is a separate matching rubber grommet on the firewall side. I went through both of them to install the power lead from my Hansshow 4G display to the positive terminal of my Li-ion battery.

I replaced mine at the one year mark (and 13k mi), and the factory filters weren't very dirty and there was no smell at all. When I got the car a year ago I did install a grille over the air intake in the frunk to prevent debris getting to the filters.

It may have a minor impact on air flow, but I haven't noticed any difference.
