Order Miscue with Account - How to Correct?

This summer I created a Tesla account when I got on the waitlist for the Cybertruck. When I ordered my Model Y yesterday I wasn't logged in to my account prior to paying the deposit with Applepay and after I paid with Applepay I was instructed to create a new account. I didn't proceed because I don't want two Tesla accounts. This morning I called Tesla to request my Model Y order be placed under my existing account. The rep told me this could be done by my advisor and he would have him contact me. I also reached out to him via text but have heard nothing. The rep's advice was to go ahead and create a second account for the Model Y order in the meantime but I'm reluctant to do so as I'm concerned Tesla may never transfer the order to the original account and I'll be stuck with two accounts.

Can anyone offer guidance on how I should proceed?
