Overpriced 2018 M3 for sale

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.

I know the price is completely out of whack with others listed but I have yet to find an M3 with FSD and Acceleration Boost so hard to put a number on it. The last full charge it showed 293 mile range but I have a heavy foot so may be under that now. I charge it to 88% which gives me a 250 mile range. Car is very clean with new tires and dash as the original was showing signs of age. Happy to take more pictures upon request. I have the title in hand and will work with the buyer on the bill of sale. All reasonable offers will be entertained, thanks for looking.

Even with your disclaimer of it being overpriced I was still shocked by the price lol.
I get it but again I dont have anything to price it against. Market average is currently $40,771 (tesla-info.com/car/US-e19d8316f2e4)and with $17k retail in options I errored on the side of caution.
"FSD will however transfer with the car to the next owner and if you are selling a car with FSD enabled, the feature should add value to the car." - tesla-info.com/blog/full-self-driving-faq.php

I also closed with "All reasonable offers will be entertained"
That all said I am hopeful that this forum while help me get a realistic expectation.
Dont be shy, make me an offer. :)

View attachment 895033About half your miles With all of your specifications plus 19 wheels and a full warranty until June 2024 (60,000 miles), you’re significantly overpriced.
'Full Self Driving Capability' meaning this vehicle is equipped with the hardware however the software package has not been purchased ($15k).

"How do I know if the car has the Full Self Driving option?
Tesla have not helped themselves in this regard as they have started to use the term "Full Self Driving capability" which has also been interpreted as having the hardware but the software has not been activated. They also describe the Autopilot Hardware 3 (HW3) as "Full self-driving computer" which also does not imply the software package has been purchased. To further complicate matters, Tesla list in the car "Full self-driving visualisation" which is also not an indication the software has been activated.
To tell if the car has full self-driving feature activated, from within the car bring up the menu and select the "Software" tab. This will display the packages installed.
You need to see "Full Self Driving Capability" with "included package" written beneath it for the car to have the FSD package activated.
If the included package words have an expiry date, then it is time limited and has not been purchased." - Tesla Full Self Driving FAQ

Hence the screenshot in my listing of the included software packages.

I believe that guide is outdated. At one point Tesla was being sneaky about wording and whether the car just had the FSD hardware and it wasn't software unlocked, but now I believe they're more straight forward. If you go to Tesla's used inventory and select checkbox on left side for "Full Self Driving", the corresponding listings use the phrase "Full Self-Driving Capability". So I'm pretty sure all those snapshots from earlier post have FSD included.

You can state it has $17k retail upgrades, but past sales have shown FSD is not valued much in the used market (maybe $1-2k). Realistically, you're under $40k... probably under $35k with recent price drops. Good luck.

I appreciate your feedback but you cannot buy a used tesla from tesla with FSD software, they wipe it. It is a smart business model IMO, Elon is kinda smart :) FSD capability indicates that you can purchase the software for that model and this exact debate is what is making pricing this vehicle so difficult. :(

Regarding your price suggestion here is a random 2018 M3 for sale without Acceleration boost or FSD as illustrated in the screen shots of the console. `3k less miles listed for $41,900:
www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=659551105&0=vehicledetails.xhtml&allListingType=all-cars&startYear=2018&endYear=2018&makeCodeList=TESLA&modelCodeList=TESMOD3&city=Marietta&state=GA&zip=30006&requestId=2152820002&searchRadius=500&marketExtension=off&isNewSearch=false&showAccelerateBanner=false&sortBy=relevance&numRecords=25&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fall-cars%2F2018%2Ftesla%2Fmodel-3%2Fmarietta-ga-30006%3F0%3Dvehicledetails.xhtml%26requestId%3D2152820002%26searchRadius%3D500%26marketExtension%3Doff%26isNewSearch%3Dfalse%26showAccelerateBanner%3Dfalse%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26numRecords%3D25&clickType=listing

And while I would agree that $55k for a 4-5 year old M3 is high, $40k is low considering how it is equipped. Additionally most M3 shoppers arent looking for a car that drives itself as it is an entry level tesla and these buyers are usually on a budget.

I will keep my fingers crossed and reiterate that all reasonable offers will be entertained :)
