I just completed this upgrade/retrofit myself. I purchased a speaker off eBay, new, #1299965-00-A. It did not initially work, back-up signal or Boobbox (which I expected) even with multiple MCU resets on the steering wheel. I took to my dealer, explained what I did and they said it was probably just the firmware and turning on the function.....$67.00. So for $100 all in for Speaker, Screws and dealer activation I now have Back-up warning and Boombox.
