I was driving the family to Disneyland from AZ two days ago, and saw no less than 9 full semi's of model 3's coming out of CA and headed into AZ on I-10. Most were standards and long ranges, but a couple Performance models. However it's interesting to note that all Performance models had the silver wheels still. I was assigned a VIN today in the source code as well.

So last night I had nothing in the source file, checked again a few minutes ago and I finally have a VIN!!!

MSM, BLACK, FSD
ORDERED 10/6
VIN ASSIGNED 12/9

Now the wait for pick up will be even more agonizing!!!! Hopefully the rest of the west coast will start seeing some action!

hmm interesting. I dont think anyone has reported getting silver wheels as of yet, cant imagine why that would be?

Most demo vehicles are 2020 with silver wheels still. My DC just got a 2020 performance that I tried to buy and it still had silver wheels and that’s what they said lol.

Just got a request to schedule delivery, which should be a day or two before Christmas, which works for me.

#desperate. For anyone wanting to know, Tesla DC's will sell their demo vehicles, but only at the end of quarters when production for P3D+'s have ended.

I had the option of choosing between two blue Stealths that weren't assigned, but that's what got me. The wheels, the interior, the brakes. What's another couple weeks of waiting for the config I want/ordered. ITS HELL IS WHAT IT IS.

I drove by the Roswell Atlanta SC this morning, saw a truck pull up with 4 2020 Performance cars on it, so it looks like the early VINs from last weekend have already made it across the country. Good news for us east coast orders!

I made the fatal (to my wallet) mistake of browsing the Tesla showroom while my Audi was getting some recall service last week and scheduled a test drive.

I inquired via Chat support on the Tesla website about the stealth performance just to see what they'd have to say. Someone called me within 10 minutes and was like "yep, I have 2 in Carlsbad, do you want one?" That was on 12/2 and I just got a text message that I can pick up on 12/14.

In between those two correspondences I've talked to 6 different people who all had conflicting information, so since I've barely waited any amount of time (compared to what I've read through these many pages...) I'll keep my fingers crossed but I'll see if this date sticks.

Just called Tesla Cleveland to see if I could get any additional info since I got my VIN last night.

They said the car is expected to arrive 12/22 and be ready for delivery on 12/23. Without providing a guarantee, they said they have been seeing delivery timelines getting shortened recently.

So worst case scenario, delivery on 12/23 but hoping I will be surprised with an earlier delivery.

For those of you that have received VIN's in the source code, does your insurance box allow you to click on "Get a Tesla Insurance Quote" or does it remain unclickable regardless of source code VIN? Thanks!

Don’t have a delivery date yet, but my inner detective got ahold of me and and had to go snoop the lot and ask the delivery guy some questions! I’ll post some pictures in a minute but here’s what I learned...
Cars are being trucked directly here, no rail.
Stickers on the seats show born on dates of 12/3, so that’s delivery to the service center in less than a week. There’s a little more protective wrap on the cars than some of us thought, mostly trim. I had them ping my car, just made yesterday, it was already on a truck going through San Jose. Most of these VINs here are the 602*** range.
I’ll upload some pictures below, wish it was a nicer day in Atlanta!

Yeah man! I hope I end up lucky and getting it quickly!

Also, I'm keeping an eye on the tracking. A handful of other performance orders received their VINS this week as well.
