phone key stops working unless opening the app.

I have been using my phone as key to open / drive my Tesla Model 3 since I bought it in Sep-2023.
A few days ago, I notice there was a software upgrade to my car. And my phone does not let me open the car anymore.
I have to open the Tesla app so I can open and drive !!!
I use the app to reset the phone key, and it does not make any difference !!!
How can I get my phone key to work again without having to open the app.
