Phone not auto connecting via Bluetooth

2020 MY no problem with connecting to phone. Open door and it automatically pairs up with my phone

2023 MY cannot connect to phone. I need to manually do it from the screen. I guess I got spoiled with the 2020?

remove all phones from car. remove car from phone. restart phone. restart car. pair again. set to priority.
