Just had an email from Pod Point telling me that they are replacing the cable on my tethered installation as they've identified a fault on a batch of installs done in 2018. Apparently some cables are getting hot where the connector attaches to the car. The email mentions that a small number of cases have been reported of damage to the vehicle!
It makes me wonder - if my M3P had been damaged by charging and Tesla (rightfully) denied responsibility, would I have been able to claim the cost of repair from Pod Point? They are replacing the cable, FOC of course, next week.
