Popularity of Utes in Australia and the prospect of electric versions

This is interesting, I mean most 4WDs will float but they are far from stable in this configuration. I guess with 200kW of batteries in the floor, the CT will be fairly well ballasted. I am also not sure how they will do the door seals unless they have some sort of active multi-point door closing mechanism to push the gaskets together.

As an aside, floating is not what you want much of the time. Often it is better to let the water in so that you can maintain traction if you really must cross a swollen river. If you float, you are heading downstream, even if the river is moving fairly slowly.

How long is “brief” though. 10 seconds? A minute? 10 minutes?

Most cars will at least briefly float, that's why they get washed away in flood waters. If CT floats, it will also float down a flooded creek.

Electric water jet probably makes more sense than a prop.

Given the roadster will have an option for air thrusters, the CT could have an option for pump jets.
